Arctic Monkeys' Favourite Worst Nightmare was Good!

I've been listening to Arctic Monkeys' Favourite Worst Nightmare a lot recently. My previous review was pure fun, i read again and again, it's so funny. And i noticed my bad point on this album and i need to correct that.

The Last Shadow Puppets is one of my favorite in the year, and Arctic Monkeys' Favourite Worst Nightmare was actually very good! It needs some spin, then you're addicted to their guitar chords and lyrics. I felt that i had to correct this mistake and tell this is a great record. 8/10

"Rose Grenades"- St. Just Vigilates (2008)

I just discovered this new band while surfing around looking at new releases, and their minimalist sound and enchanted, hypnotic, mantra-like music snagged my attention immediately. The band's write-up about their music on MySpace is a little... out there. Okay, a lot out there. To quote only a small portion, they say "It’s a cactus trance of ancient metronomes, ESP murmurs and pomegranate flavoured candy canes". I have only one thing to say.

This song is chilly.

It's the kind of thing you'd expect to form a glaze of ice on your speakers, and I would not be surprised to hear it show up in a movie about serial killers. Scratchy, off-tune strings stalk through the whole song whilst the twinkles of stars (or bells or knives?) in the night dance in the foreground, as the vocals lurk beyond in the cold.
Judging by the songs I've heard thus far, St. Just Vigilantes new album Pastor of Oaks, Sheppherd of Stones promises to be a mostly meditative (AKA quiet, trace-inducingly dull) experience. This song may well be the standout in an otherwise flat CD.

Ben Kweller - Changing Horses

Ben Kweller releases 'Changing Horses' on February 3rd (2009). And we reveal joyful the first song "Fight" which is can be streamable on Kweller's myspace. Ballad Of Wendy Baker is also very great song that i've recently discovered. Changing Horses combines classical American style songwriting and rock roots. Indie rock singer songwriter Ben Kweller tells his music gets darker on this fifth studio album. Love Changing Horses.

Tracklist:
1. "Gypsy Rose"
2. "Old Hat"
3. "Fight"
4. "Hurtin' You"
5. "Ballad of Wendy Baker"
6. "Sawdust Man"
7. "Wantin' Her Again"
8. "Things I Like to Do"
9. "On Her Down"
10. "Homeward Bound"
