Top new pop rock hits

1. Estelle – Pretty Please (youtube)
I love Estelle's all collaborations which are always so mellow, choice and favorite. Some youtube comments suck but 'Estelle rocks!'.

2. The Rosebuds - Life Like
Forthcoming The Rosebuds album, it's first great single. Promising! Written on Mergerecords page 'The fourth full-length from this Raleigh, NC band is a return to more organic territory, barely a year after releasing the synth-heavy dance pop of 2007's Night Of The Furies.' You can stream the album from Mergerecords, and i'll remove the mp3 in a couple of days.

3. TV on the Radio - Dancing Choose

4. Will Young - Changes (video)
He's talented singer, and he can sing. I've listened his cover songs before, they sound good.
Changes is the brand new single. Lovely!

5. Saint Etienne - Burnt Out Car
Italo disco forever. From their Very Best Of collection, ‘Burnt Out Car’ is the brand new single from Saint Etienne.

6. The Streets - Everything Is Borrowed
I forget the song after every listen i had.

7. The Sea and Cake - Weekend

8. Bon Iver – For Emma

9. Jason Mraz - Make It Mine

10. Steve Mac - Paddy's Revenge
Oh my God! What a dumb song and video.

Flashback Corner
Song
Air - Sexy Boy ( Moon Safari 1998)
A masterpiece, creativeness and timeless Air song which is their still best moment. One of the best written electronic single.

Album
Soft Cell - Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret
I nearly listened this Soft Cell record hundred times. It has a lot great moments, and
of the best 80s record.

The Streets - Everything Is Borrowed

5/10
Everything is Borrowed fourth album from The Streets, and it's independent on its genre. It's very hard to describe sound of the tracks too. Why do i hate white rap so much? No, it's only honest me. The Streets use gospel choros too (The Escapist). Dull, some enjoyable, some moody and the others are common.

Alas! I forgot the songs i've listened to. Last note to go, Alleged Legends recalls Let’s Push Things Forward on the spot.

Heaven For The Weather, Title track, The Way Of The Dodo are streaming at
www.myspace.com/thestreets

Highlights: Everything Is Borrowed, I Love You More, Alleged Legends

The Streets - I Love You More (Than You Like Me)

The Cure - Hypnagogic States EP

5/10
This Ep needs to be patient. Because almost all remixes are some kind of awkward, some kind of strange! The Only One, a Remix version by 30 Seconds To Mars sounds a bit good. Second track makes a The Cure dance floor, techno, electronic, dance, and Robert Smith singing 'this is a freakshow'. With more than twenty-one playing length, Exploding Head Syndrome makes you quite jaded. I almost felt like to never listen to The Cure remixes again.

Despite some clumsy songs of the Ep, this is nice not to listen same old same The Cure sound. This makes a little bit difference, a little bit.

The Cure - Freakshow (Wolves At The Gate Remix By Jade Puget)

The Cure - Sleep When I'm Dead

Scarlett Johansson covers Boys Don't Cry

Scarlett Johansson - Live Session (iTunes Exclusive)

She did a Tom Waits covers record as i reported lately. And this is the live set of songs from her Anywhere I Lay My Head album. Like her characters on Hollywood movies, this is dark and melancholic music like Mazzy Star, Sinead O'connor.

She sings Falling Down like little moaning horny cats. This is worse than the album version, the orchestra does their job perfect and they recover all defects. As for Green Grass, it's good, i mean yes, yes it's nice! La la la la la la!

Scarlett Johansson - Boys Don't Cry ( The Cure cover)

Pretty different! Cover of the Cure classic “Boys Don’t Cry,” makes whole Live Session.Thousand times better than listening Jessica Simpson's Do You Know.
Highlights: Green Grass, Who Are You

Tracklist:
Anywhere I Lay My Head (Live)
Innocent When You Dream (Live)
Falling Down (Live)
I Wish I Was In New Orleans (Live)
Green Grass (Live)
Who Are You (Live)
Boys Dont Cry (Live)

TV on the Radio - Dear Science, (2008)

TOTR have always been interesting since i first discover that it's Brian Molko's (Placebo guy) favorite. I'm sorry to say Dear Science, (yeah with a comma) had bad first impression on me except two or three songs. Third track gets a place in my ipod, it's Dancing Choose, slobby vocals and amusing music. Dancing Choose should be the first single, and i think it's the first single. Maybe i have to listen the album more than twice despite its no end of Bowie hooks.

TV on the Radio - Dancing Choose

My other picks: Stork And Owl, Red Dress

Martha, Amy and Duffy

We sometimes need female voice (i shoud be saying 'all the time'?). So, I was listening to Martha Wainwright's I Know You're Married, Duffy's Rockferry and Amy Winehouse's Back to Black all together. And i was thinking that if all the three girls were in same band and singing together, how powerful it would be! It's nonsense, though, all of them have good career and they're both hot female singers. Then, vheck out my delicious track picks.

Amy Winehouse - Rehab
She eats banana sandwiches? Crazy betch!
Duffy - Serious
On her videos, Duffy looks sad all the time . Who is going to make this girl happy?
Martha Wainwright - So Many Friends
Martha, you cool betch!

Glasvegas - Glasvegas (2008)

8.5/10
Glasvegas are Scotish indie rock band composed of James Allan on vocals and songwriting, Rab Allan on lead guitar, Paul Donoghue on bass guitar and Caroline McKay on drums. NME ranked first single "Daddy's Gone" as the second best track of 2007, and it came to my attention. Debut album Glasvegas is some kind of emotion explosion. It was like present-day version of any Jesus and Mary Chain songs, "Some Candy Talking", "Sowing Seeds" especially classic Mary Chains like "Side Walking" and "April Skies". Vocals are absorbing, guitars are gurgling round your ears.

It's very happy to discover a band which is so romantic, theatrical and confident. Glasvegas are new champions of indie rock!

Highlights: Flowers & Football Tops, Lonesome Swan, Polmont On My Mind, Daddy's Gone
