Indie Rock
Actually, i like Barely Legal much more than the two The Strokes song, but these are wonderful too. Especially, 'The Modern Age' sounds so hot!

Strokes - Trying Your Luck
Strokes - The Modern Age

Post-Punk
For me, it's one of the most interesting punk band at the center of it all was vocalist Mark E. Smith. You'll love or hate this.
The Fall - Get A Hotel
The Fall - Draygo's Guilt

Alternative Dance
The two song come from New Order's live record Disorderly(1981). This live Lp consists of the most depressive New Order works.
New Order - Senses
New Order - Denial
Alternative Pop
Ok, it's a good choice when the closing song is a good, striking, a sad ass song.
Nick Cave - Henry Lee
Nick Cave - Mercy Seat

Collective Soul - Afterwords

Friday, August 17, 2007

After 2000's poorly received Blender, the Georgia-based act reemerged mid-decade with a flurry of releases, including the '04 studio album Youth. The following that two-disc live album continued. Afterwords is the forthcoming seventh studio album by Atlanta-based rock band Collective Soul, is set to be released on August 28, 2007. Is it better than self-titled Collective Soul record, you decide. But i liked the new ultra commercial single 'Hollywood'. Nice art work, by the way.

Collective Soul - Hollywood
Collective Soul - New Vibration

New Singles
1. Animal Collective - Peacebone
Panda Bear, you know it works to scream like that, i want to scream like that to all i hate.

2. MIA – Jimmy
you can steam the whole album at MIA's myspace page.

3. Bodies of Water - These Are the Eyes
The shouting section 'These Are the Eyes' in the song recalls a Nick Cave song which is named '(I'll Love You) Till The End Of The World youtube'. And the song is borrowing from Arcade Fire's complex indie rock arrangements. If you heart is weak, don't listen to it, because i'm close to have a heart attack right now. Hey, please someone stop this song!

6. Rilo Kiley – The Moneymaker (music video)

7. Elliot Minor - Jessica (music video)

8. The Dead 60s - Stand Up (music video)

9. Ghosts – Ghosts

10. Holy Fuck - Lovely Allen

Song Flashback!
Laurie Anderson - From The Air (original version)
This is not a new song, it's now included in reissued Big Science. You should give a listen to this amazing record that is originally released in the year 1981. The opening song From The Air is remixed by hip-hop producer Dan "The Automator".

Oh No - Dr. No's Oxperiment

Tuesday, August 14, 2007

The Modern Music says:
With Doctor No's Oxperiment, you hear amazing psychedelic samples from Turkey, Lebanon, Greece and Italy. It also gets your attention on successful instrumental hip-hop music, now you
can see how wrong to be a conservative person on musical genres. Oh No make your eyes open that you can see every music has its own good examples.

Pitchfork says:
Dr. No's Oxperiment is one of the most fulfilling beat-driven instrumental hip-hop records since J Dilla's Donuts, and the fact that he pulled it off solely by turning to a rarely-tapped vein of psych that few hip-hop producers have even approached is proof enough that talent runs rampant in the family.

Oh No - Heavy (MM pick!)

Oh No - Ox Broil

Oh No - Emergency
This song takes its melody from another Turkish song.

Elvis Costello - The First 10 Years

Sunday, August 12, 2007

There have been numerous Elvis Costello compilations, but this new release focuses on the most fertile period of his career, the first ten years. With these three songs rubbing shoulders with "Alison," "Watching the Detectives," "Pump It Up," "Oliver's Army," "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding," and all the other usual suspects, The Best of Elvis Costello: The First 10 Years winds up being the best single-disc summary and introduction to Costello's prime years.

Elvis Costello - Watching The Detectives
Elvis Costello - Every Day I Write The Book
