Have you ever run across mysterious events in your life? I think some of you have had
inscrutable experiences once or many times. Now, with what kind of songs could be backround tunes to that moments? Maybe this three freak piece from 2006, which are really hard to find. These are quite addictive songs, were tried on myself. They sound like anything, that makes them unclassifiable. Sometimes it can be attractive to discover unusual things, that's why i'm writing this, it's for to discover other interesting sides of music. Well then, did you discover any mysterious or weird song in the year? Share with us or it'll be too late!

Deerhoof - Friend Opportunity

Thursday, December 28, 2006

Rating: 8.4/10
Modern Music Review
By turns cuddly and chaotic, San Francisco's Deerhoof mixes noise, sugary melodies, and an experimental spirit into sweetly challenging and utterly distinctive music.

Redecorating the room nicely throughout, it sounds ordinary. Put chair there, i don't like that carpet. Is the picture right there? I need something different. How about Deerhoof's "Friend Opportunity"? This can be the most deserted review and i really don't mind it. I like to write what i feel to write. Because you listen the record and every person obtains different elegance. On the contrary, it's possible that to gain nothing . It can be your worst day, you can be broken or you don't give a shit. You find yourself listening Beach House's self debut. Actually there is a thing that always true about music, you should taste the music without forejudge , because every album has other good side except its bad sides. So Deerhoof's Friend Opportunity is a kind of record which covers its sadness with some sugary, amusing music. With an innocent voice (Satomi Matsuzaki), rhythmic guitars (Rob Fisk) and more quirky noises, including only few down tempo song it's entirely likeable listening. There are bands as if they're brothers, so Deerhoof's brother( or sister?) should be Blonde Redhead.

Outstanding first three song and weird closing tunes make you give another spin pleasantly.
I gave quite enough listen and i'm sure with one thing. "Friend Opportunity" is the record
that can give to everyone something different, something lovely. And close your eyes through the last song, "look away" is a quite successful experimental work.

Surely "Friend Opportunity" is as sweet as honeycomb, i know honeycomb isn't sweet, it's
honey. But still this weird expression is not enough to give an opinion about the album, addictive listen. Release date: January 23, 2007

Time Machine - punkkk!

Wednesday, December 27, 2006

If this post seems not useful, then you should look closer or Daddy will kick your ass! All right! now i remembered that there was a famous disco song named Daddy Cool by Boney M and did you hear the cover of Placebo. If you heard, you would laugh to Brian Molko's voice with your ass, child.
Placebo - Daddy Cool

00s Bloc Party
They say new album "Weekend in the City" not rocking like "Silent Alarm" but i haven't listened yet. We'll see what we need to see soon. But this always happens if you have a good debut record, they're going to speak ill of second one.
Bloc Party - Helicopter

90s Smashing Pumpkins
They're in studio! Album out soon! so We wait for it, don't we?
Smashing Pumpkins - Zero

80s Mission of Burma
Believe or not i feel quite silly myself whenever i listen to "Vs". But the most weird thing is i like this happy, silly, punky moments. Mission of Burma had the talent and vision to become one of America's great rock bands; if you want to listen some good punk music, listen them.
Mission of Burma - Einstein's Day (extremely great)

70s Patti Smith
"Horses" was a hybrid, the sound of a post-Beat poet, as she put it, "dancing around to the simple rock & roll song. It's not posibble to forget that pretty weird lady, her totally different album cover "Horses", and also a masterpiece!
Patti Smith - Break it up (great classic)

Ice, it was shining. I could feel my heart, it was melting. I tore off my clothes, I danced on my shoes. I ripped my skin open and then I broke through. I cried, “Break it up, oh, now I understand. Break it up, and I want to go.

Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies

Tuesday, December 26, 2006

Rating: 9/10
Indie Rock
Before the new year , i wanted to write all good albums. So this is one of that high desired album which was previously relesead on Feb 21, 2006. I've been covered by Canadian Artists, i'm happy with that indeed.

Dan Bejar's seventh Destroyer record is as lyrically dense as ever, but marks a shift to a full-band, guitar-oriented sound after 2004's more eclectic 'Your Blues.' This a little neurotic, on and off joyful, and also lovely music lets to dream yourself as dancing with a bottle of whiskey in the room, and also your favorite song is playing on backround, yes and this favorite should be Destroyer's Rubies. This brilliant music -- borrowing as much from perfect names like David Bowie, Lou Reed. Lou Reed guitar noise, then into sweet Bowie harmonies, is what makes Destroyer's Rubies such a wonder. "Painter in Your Pocket" makes all of rings trembling, inside of you!

What makes "Destroyer's Rubies" a legitimately great album is that Bejar's clever
combination his voice with romantic guitars. Dan Bejar's voice is similar to Tom Verlaine, they are both affecting, touchy voices. Who says no to romantic guitar melody, charming lyrics, something that is both pleasant and painful? I don't say no, already i didn't say no to previous record of Destroyer. They're very brilliant same as "Destroyer's Rubies". After "This Night", "Destroyer's Rubies" is one of the best work that Dan Bejar dropped.

Every song is great, and every instrument works for their good, la la la! It is modest, lucid and tender.

Happy Holidays

Sunday, December 24, 2006

Sometimes words aren't necessary, you just want to close your eyes and wishing, dreaming, willing...Have you ever think about the holy days in your life? Or you just celebrate them on the right time and after this you go on the same life. Like a little tablecloth, which you use it on right time, and at other times it doesn't mean anything to you. So these are the days to bring back the goodness that you should behave to other people.

God rest ye merry, gentlemen, Let nothing you dismay --Remember Christ our Saviour-- Was born on Christmas Day-- To save us all from Satan's power-- When we were gone astray. --O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy; O tidings of comfort and joy!
mp3: Billy Idol - God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen

You know that everything depends to you in the life. You should see the right way even if there is no way.
There's no way out of here, when you come in you're in for good There was no promise made, the part you've played, the chance you took There are no boundaries set, the time and yet you waste it still

After all, believe yourself, i wish you a pleasant holiday season! And thank you very much for reading.
